We are one of the UK's leading professional specialists in menopause education and training.
The Kathryn Colas Menopause Academy is an organisation dedicated to raising awareness and education about menopause. We offer accredited training programmes aimed at improving menopause awareness, education, and advocating for inclusive workplace policies.
Kathryn Colas founded her first menopause business Simply Hormones in 2007, to bring menopause awareness and understanding into the workplace. Her long-term commitment to her work has ensured she is acknowledged as the menopause pioneer. In March 2020 she published her first book, How to Survive Menopause Without Losing Your Mind, sharing her experiences and accumulated research. Her impact extends beyond education, as she influences policy and practices in the workplace, working with NGOs, public and private sector organisations. Kathryn's ground breaking work in menopause education has garnered her the title of the first and only lay person appointed to the medical advisory committee of the British Menopause Society. In September 2020 she launched the Kathryn Colas Menopause Academy and four accredited Menopause Training Programmes for the workplace.

According to a CIPD report based on a survey of over 2,000 women in the UK, 67% of working women between the ages of 40 and 60 with menopausal symptoms experience a negative impact on their work performance. This includes reduced concentration, increased stress, and difficulties with patience and physical abilities, leading to frequent absences.
Further research by the Fawcett Society reports that one in ten women has even considered resigning from their job because of the severity of their symptoms. At its core, supporting menopause in the workplace isn't merely an act of empathy but also a step towards fostering a fair and inclusive environment for all .
Our research indicates that this impacts on men too and the increasing number of people working post menopause. Kathryn Colas Menopause Academy focuses on long term solutions, by delivering professional training into the workplace with measurable outcomes.
We offer support through menopause training, customised webinars, and one-on-one consultations.
